WiseTech SEO Toolbox
A fast SEO, website technology, WordPress plugin, and link inspector for Chrome.
WiseTech SEO Toolbox helps marketers, website owners, SEO specialists, and WordPress users inspect the page they are currently viewing without opening several different tools.
What WiseTech SEO Toolbox checks
Website Technology
The extension looks for public signals that can identify:
- WordPress
- WooCommerce
- Shopify
- Webflow
- Google Analytics 4
Detection is based on evidence visible in the active page. A technology that hides or removes its public signals may not be detected.
WordPress Plugin Detection
On public WordPress pages, WiseTech SEO Toolbox looks for reliable front-end plugin traces.
Public-page detection is intentionally conservative. It does not claim to show every installed plugin because many plugins run only in WordPress Admin or on the server.
For a site you own, open:
WordPress Admin > Plugins > Installed Plugins
Then run WiseTech SEO Toolbox. The extension can read the installed plugin table locally and display active and inactive plugins.
SEO Quick Check
The extension reviews:
- title element;
- meta description;
- H1;
- canonical URL;
- robots meta directive.
Character counts are used as review signals, not absolute Google ranking rules.
Link Inspector
See counts for:
- internal links;
- external links;
- follow links;
- nofollow links;
- sponsored links;
- UGC links.
Link Highlighter
Highlight links directly on the page.
- red outline: external link;
- green: follow;
- yellow: nofollow;
- purple: sponsored;
- blue: UGC.
External scope has visual priority, so an external nofollow link uses a red outline while its relationship is still shown by its fill color.
Quick Tools
Open the current URL directly in:
- PageSpeed Insights;
- Google Rich Results Test;
- Wayback Machine.
Recommended Next Step
When the extension detects an issue or useful follow-up, it links to the matching section of the WiseTechList guide:
https://wisetechlist.com/wisetech-toolbox-recommended-next-steps/
The guide explains what the warning means and links to primary sources such as Google Search Central, WordPress.org, and WooCommerce documentation.
Privacy
Page analysis happens locally in your browser. WiseTech SEO Toolbox does not upload the inspected page, plugin list, SEO values, or browsing history to WiseTechList.
Clipboard permission is optional and requested only when you use a Copy feature.
Troubleshooting
The extension says it cannot analyze the page
Reload the page and try again. Chrome restricts extensions from analyzing certain internal pages such as chrome:// pages and some browser-protected pages.
A WordPress plugin is missing from the public-page scan
That is expected when a plugin does not expose a front-end asset on the current page. If the site is yours, use the extension on WordPress Admin > Plugins > Installed Plugins for the local inventory view.
A technology is not detected
WiseTech SEO Toolbox uses public evidence rather than aggressive guessing. Sites can hide, proxy, bundle, or remove technology markers, so detection is best treated as evidence-based rather than guaranteed.
I found a false positive
Please report the URL, the detected technology/plugin, and what you expected. False-positive reports are especially useful because the detector is intentionally tuned toward high-confidence evidence.
